Just goes to show...

This shows that you may never know when something you do could have an affect on someone else. I really had a cool thing happen to me today and apparently so did my new friend, Yoga Peach, all because of a comment I made on her blog post. Click here to find the blog I was featured in today. Why should I take yoga?

A simple Google search will give you plenty of reasons one should take yoga, all the benefits of yoga, and how transformative yoga is. I cannot agree more with all of them. Yoga is different for every one, but the simple truth is that it is good, beneficial, and transformative. For me, yoga was a form of fitness to start. I wanted to lose weight. I was just coming out of an abusive relationship and I needed to feel better about myself. I didn't like it at first and did not get all the hype, but I kept going back and worked it and it gave me tools to love myself, love and understand life in a different way. It taught me different ways to channel and express love. It all around just brought out the best that was inside me. It taught me to find love within myself and not seek it outside in the world and in others.

What should I know before I take a class?

Yoga is like an AA meeting: "Keep coming back it works if you work it." You won't get the benefits from one class. You have to explore and research to find what style, studio, and instructor resonates with you. Be patient and open minded. You do not have to be physically flexible, just mentally flexible.

Yoga is more than what you get in a gym yoga class and over time you will probably become more curious about ALL that yoga is, that is what I am here for :)
